Although the tracks presented on this album were recorded on and off between 2014 and 2016, some of the musical ideas contained were actually written during the mid to late 2000s. The entire track 'Apertures', for instance, is almost note-for-note unchanged from its original conception in 2008. While some of the other material on the album may be even older, parts of it were also composed or heavily embellished upon just prior to, and throughout the recording process.
